A Big, Warm Welcome to this web log (blog).

It’s like an online diary for me (see about the editor, further down this page) and selected friends to write about what it’s like living on and around Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour.

Although it will cover general lifestyle articles, it’s main focus is on the natural history of the marina, and the wider area from the Sovereign Centre Swimming Pool, along the coast to Pevensey Bay; and inland about a mile between those extremes.

Hopefully if you enjoy birds, wildlife, flora, and marine life, you will find something to interest you here, even if you don’t live within the main geographical boundary covered by this site.

As I’m an avid scuba diver whose interested in underwater photography, there will also be articles on my attempts at becoming Dive Master, photographic evidence from my dives (both locally and further afield in warmer waters).
